Neighborhood: Meatpacking District
Type of Place: Flea Markets

Description:
The Market NYC has a new home in the heart of the Meatpacking district. This wildly popular indoor flea market once housed in a church gymnasium on Mulberry Street is most commonly known as The Young Designer's Market. Inside the new space you will still find the expected artsy and beautifully crafted goods from local emerging artists selling their handmade designs. About 60 vendors set up folding tables to showcase their goods, which range from bags, jewelry, artwork, clothing, accessories, handmade knits and more. Vendors change from week to week at this weekend-only event. What's great about this place is that you'll find something you wouldn't find in a store and you can actually purchase it from the designer in person. Prices are fairly reasonable too. For the holidays, they'll be having a pop-up store that runs from December 8-24 everyday from noon-8pm. You're sure to find some great gifts here and your purchase is helping support a local artist, so you'll be giving two gifts instead of one. If you can't decide between shopping or an art exhibit one weekend, stroll on down to the Meatpacking District and you'll get your fix for both at The Market NYC.
