Olio é Piu, an Italian trattoria, in the heart of Greenwich Village, often has a line of people waiting to get in. Aside from curbside dining, it also boast a 45-seat open patio. The restaurant is know for its hand-stretched pizzas, house-made pastas and entrees incuding a fried Veal Cutlet Milanese and Grilled Ribeye. Jack’s Wife Freda at Carmine always seems to draw a crowd for its comfort foods in a relaxed atmosphere. The all-day café is known for dishes like Rosewater Waffles for breakfast, Duck Bacon, Egg & Cheese sandwiches, and Bennie’s Chicken Schnitzel, among others. Havana New York, on West 38TH Street, has a lush outdoor dining area that fills up quickly. Inside there are large Cuba-inspired murals and full bar. Here you will find classic Cuban dishes reinvented and lively Latin and Mediterranean fare. Dishes include Shellfish fricassee with lobster, shrimp, mussels, and clams in a saffron-tomato broth, a traditional Cubano Sandwich, Chicharron de Pollo (crispy adobo chicken), and Bistec Churrasco (skirt steak with chimichurri sauce).
