Ilili, Lebanese, Flatiron, NY

ILILI

Ilili in Flatiron draw quite the crowd in Flatiron for its Lebanese cuisine. Executive Chef and Owner Philippe Massoud likes to call it a melting pot of Lebanese, Levantine and Mediterranean. Expect an array of hot and cold mezze to share including baba ghannouj with eggplant, tahini and olive oil, mouhamara with walnuts, sundried peppers and pomegranate, and fried kibbeh made with spiced beef and pine nuts. There’s baklava and Knafe bil Jinbneh for dessert.

MAIDEN KOREA

Maiden Korea is an outdoor digital food garden which has popped up in a fenced-in lot at the corner of 32nd Street and 5th Avenue in KTown. The food and drinks are provided by nearby restaurants and bars that because they are on top of other establishments have no outdoor option. The garden is using a ghost kitchen platform called Cookspace. Look for contemporary Korean cuisine and artisanal cocktails. Think Loaded Bulgogi Fries, Chicken Kara-Age, Yakitori skewers and assorted Korean BBQ. To see the full menu click here. Judging by the crowd, you will want to make a reservation.

SVETA

Sveta with its colorful outdoor dining, and where guests are treated like family, is a popular spot for Russian cuisine on Carmine Street in the West Village. It could be the Russian Borscht (served cold), Veriniki (homemade potato dumplings), Skirt Steak Sliders and Lobster Roll with spicy aioli. Summer cocktails include an assortment of frozen crushers in flavors like watermelon margarita and tropical blast.
