The Seven Deadly Sins: This brand-new outdoor production, set in the Meatpacking District, begins a six-week run on June 22. The piece features world premiere short works from Ngozi Anyanwu (Gluttony), Thomas Bradshaw (Sloth), MJ Kaufman (Pride), Moisés Kaufman (Greed), Jeffrey LaHoste (Envy), Ming Peiffer (Wrath), and Bess Wohl (Lust), performed by a diverse troupe of leading New York theater actors, reality show stars (including the exciting Shuga Cain), and exciting newcomers alike. Audience will gather and be welcomed with a brief performance at their first stop of the evening (Purgatory) before they divide into small, socially distanced pods. Each group will then explore the perils and pleasures of each sin’s storefront window (designed by Tony Award winner David Rockwell), while listening through provided sanitized headphones while wearing masks. Audience: The Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre will present its new live theater puppet production of Vaclav Havel’s classic autobiographical play on June 23 and 29 at 8pm at Bohemian National Hall (321 East 73rd Street). The show will be staged with projected closeups of puppets from security cameras in order to suggest the surveillance that was common in Czechoslovakia in the 1970s. King Lear: New York Classical Theatre will perform William Shakespeare’s renowned drama n four NYC parks from June 24 through August 8, beginning with a three-week run in Central Park (at 103rd Street). The show will feature a cast of 14, with John Michalski in the title role. The production will feature the “happy ending” of Nahum Tate’s 1681 adaptation along with several additional scenes from Tate’s version. For more information, visit www.nyclassical.org.

Michael Che: “Saturday Night Live” star Michael Che, known for his work on the series ‘ popular “Weekend Update” segment, will headline his new show, “Michael Shea Unperfect.” at Carolines on Broadway on Friday, June 25 at 9:45pm.
