77th Annual Tony Award Nominations Are Announced

Nominations have been announced for the 77th annual Tony Awards, which will take place on Sunday, June 16 at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. They will air live on CBS-TV at 8pm on the CBS Television Network, and streaming live and on demand on Paramount+.*

CBS and Pluto TV will present “THE TONY AWARDS: ACT ONE,” a pre-show of live, exclusive content leading into awards. Viewers can access the show on their smart TV, streaming device, mobile app or online by going to Pluto TV and clicking on the “ET” channel.

Hell’s Kitchen” and “Stereophonic” each received 13 nominations, while “The Outsiders” earned 12 nominations. Among the other shows with multiple nominations are “Cabaret,” “Days of Wine and Roses,” “Mary Jane,” “Merrily We Roll Along,” “Mother Play,” “Prayer for the French Republic,” “Purlie Victorious,” “Suffs,” “The Notebook,” and “Water for Elephants.”

Actors who received nominations include Eddie Redmayne, Gayle Rankin, Bebe Neuwirth, Steven Skybell, Leslie Odom Jr, Kara Young, Jonathan Groff, Daniel Radcliffe, Lindsay Mendez, Jessica Lange, Jim Parsons, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Sarah Paulson, Amy Ryan, Liev Schrieber, Michael Stuhlbarg, Eden Espinosa, Maleah Joi Moon, Shoshana Bean, Brandon Victor Dixon, Kecia Lewis, Kelli O’Hara, Brian d’Arcy James, Maryann Plunkett, Dorian Harewood, Brody Grant, Nikki M. James, Betsy Aidem, Jeremy Strong, and Rachel McAdams.
