PARIS THEATRE TO REOPEN ON AUGUST 6

After a summer break, the beloved Paris Theatre (4 West 58th Street), which is now run by Nextflix, will reopen on Friday, August 6. The theater’s interior has been renovated and its concession stand will now serve baked goods from Le Fournil, coffee from Integral Tea, tea from Bushwick Tea as well as a popcorn, candy and soda.
The premiere engagement, which runs through August 12, will include a 35-mm version of Radha Blank’s award-winning film “The Forty-Year-Old Version” along with nine films selected by Blank, including “Dog Day Afternoon,” “Shadows,” “The Apartment,” “The Last Detail” and “Tap.” Blank will appear in person on August 6 at 8pm to introduce her film.
From August 13 to August 26, the theater will host “The Paris is For Lovers,” a 31-film series of great movies that have played the cinema since its opening in 1948.
