Mama Ganoush opens in Midtown

Mama Ganoush, known for its Middle Eastern street pitas and bowls, now has a location on Lexington Avenue in Midtown. All of the sandwiches are served on a pita dusted with za'atar and olive oil. Guests can choose from things like lemon chicken, grilled steak and spicy meatballs or vegetarian offerings including chickpea croquettes and cauliflower steak.
Assorted dips and toppings are also available includeing hummus, charred eggplant and tzatziki, as well as sumac onions, roasted beets, feta, and pickles among others. Special house combos are also available as pitas or bowls. Drinks come in flavors like pomegranate iced tea and watermelon lemonade. The brightly lit space is well designed and service is helpful.
