King Wang’s is hoping to be the sandwich king on the Upper West Side. Executive Chef Tom Baco-Wang, who trained under Daniel Boulud and worked alongside Chef Chef Hooni Kim at Danji, is putting his French and Japanese techniques to task. Diners will find several sandwiches and sides on the menu, including a Spicy Fried Chicken sandwich topped with Szechuan slaw and a secret Korean pepper sauce; Pulled Pork topped with cilantro carrot slaw on a toasted Martin’s potato bun and Cheesesteak with peppers & onion on a pretzel bun. The sandwiches are also offered with “Ramen Fries,” crinkle cut fries made with Chef Wang’s special seasoning blend.
