Edith's, the pop-up turned “permanent,” or at least indefinitely, is showcasing an assortment of Jewish breads, pastries and foods. They include wood-fired, twisted and hand-rolled bagels served with house-smoked sustainable salmon and house cultured cream cheese. At the bakery, look for Honey Baharat Schnecken, Edith’s version of a sticky bun with walnuts, warm spices and honey topped with a walnut crumble; and Chocolate Sesame Twist, Challah twisted with two types of chocolate, tahini glaze and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Sandwiches include wood-fired veggie “sabich” and the “brisket bun” with braised brisket, caramelized onion and parsnips puree. Beverages also come with extras. Armaretto can be added drip coffee while pomegranate lemonade gets some added sparkle from prosecco.
Edith’s is located inside Paulie Gee’s Slice Shop at 110 Franklin Avenue, Brooklyn
