Celestine - the Mediterranean restaurant in DUMBO with stunning views of the bridges and Manhattan skyline - has reopened following its winter hiatus with a new chef, Sean Froedtert. Sean previously worked for years at Cookshop and Buvette.

While Celestine has specifically identified itself as Eastern Mediterranean in the past, they're now aiming to take the menu in a more general Mediterranean and seasonal direction. The updated menu includes signature dishes on Celestine's menu, such as the mezze, branzino and roast chicken, maintaining its Mediterranean influences while also bringing some new dishes into rotation.

Look for dips like Muhammara with walnut and piquillo pepper, Pistachio Feta Spread and House-made Flatbread with Za’atar. Other offerings include a Vegan Caesar, Short Rib Manti with onion marmalade and pomegranate, Spiced Half Chicken with brown butter jus, and a Brisket Burger with a custom blend provided by Pat LaFrieda served with cheddar and fries.

The new cocktail menu features drinks like the Celestine Spritza (Aperol, Cocchi Aperitif, Grapefruit, Cava), the Phoenix (Vodka, Blood Orange, Hibiscus, Lemon) and Lazy Hustler (Mezcal, Passionfruit, Coconut, Chamomile, Pineapple, Citrus). Spirit-free drinks are also available like the Blackberry Cooler.

Celestine is currently open for indoor and outdoor patio dining Wednesday - Sunday from 5pm - 10pm and plans to add brunch in the next couple of weeks.
