Casa Ora, the farm-to-table Venezuelan restaurant in Williamsburg, is set to reopen on September 10th, timed to its two-year anniversary. The restaurant is owned and operated by Isbelis Diaz, her son Ivo Diaz, and his wife Rachel Diaz Pirard, and named after the couple’s daughter, Ora.
Signature plates include “Baby Shark,” inspired by the Venezuelan shark dish "cazon,” made with monkfish wrapped in ripe plantain; charcoal-seared octopus with chimichurri; ceviche with grapefruit, orange, papaya and avocado; and Arepitas, small arepas served with fillings like avocado-chicken salad with queso blanco, shredded pork and beef with cheddar.
Cocktails lean heavily into tequila, mezcal, and rum-based drinks, with complimentary flavors inspired by the various climates of Venezuela. A carefully curated list of small batch, sustainable, and organic wines are also offered.
Casa Ora is located at 148 Meserole St, Brooklyn, NY, 11206
