BLACK BARN REOPENS IN FLATIRON
August 2, 2021, 7:05.57 pm ET
Black Barn Restaurant by James Beard award winning chef John Doherty is reopening in NoMad. Chef Doherty is eager to welcome back diners to Black Barn's multiple dining spaces and bring back some of his classic dishes while introducing new ones for dinner and brunch.
The restaurant features two indoor dining areas: A main dining room towards the back separate from its "Tavern" room, which offers a more casual bar setting. There is also an Outdoor Patio facing Madison Square Park where diners can enjoy cocktails and bites with views of the iconic park.
Seasonal dishes include Olive Oil Braised Octopus, BBQ Ribs and the Butternut Squash Ravioli, among others. Weekend Brunch offerings range from buttermilk pancakes to Huevos Chilaquiles and croque madame to house-made chicken and waffles.
Chef Doherty is a veteran of the NYC restaurant scene. He was the the youngest Executive Chef ever at the Waldorf Astoria where he spent almost 30 years before opening Black Barn 5 years ago. The space features massive wooden beams and industrial elements along with an open kitchen.
Black Barn Restaurant is located at 19 E 26th St, New York, NY (212) 265-5959
