Podnology arrives in New York City. The self-contained, contactless pods have popped outside Empanada Mama in Hell’s Kitchen near 51st St and 9th Ave. The pods are climate controlled for winter and summer.
Also in Hell’s Kitchen, Planet Taco now has a second location at 705 9th Avenue with tacos named after Saturn, Venus and Mars. Another new arrival nearby, Shorty’s (517 9th Ave), which ditched its bar is serving up Philly Cheesesteaks.
Tiptoe is the star this year for this year’s holiday windows at Macy’s Herald Square with an inside look at how Santa’s reindeers are taught to fly.
Bryant Park’s Winter Village is back. One of our favorite food kiosks this year is the Winter Pie Shop serving up all sorts of mini pies, including Apple Crumb, Brown Butter Pumpkin and Salted Caramel Apple.
