Around Town - Junior's reopens in Times Square, among others
May 28, 2021, 6:18.33 pm ET
New York City continues to come alive albeit at a slower pace in some parts of the city. We did notice that Junior’s has opened its Midtown location adjacent to Shubert Alley.
Dolly Varden is getting some attention with its outdoor set-up made to look like an old rail car.
City Winery is buzzing with its outdoor wine bar surrounded by wild flowers at Rockefeller Center.
Further East, Urbanspace Vanderbilt has reopened with two large curbside spaces. Only the bar and one vendor selling dumplings was open, but more are expected to follow.
At nearby Grand Central, The Campbell is drawing a well-heeled crowd. Still no sign of the Beer Bar returning. It's just up the block.
At The Eugene, a luxury apartment complex across from Hudson Yards, Union Square Hospitality will open Ci Siamo, according to the New York Times. The Italian spot will sit on the second floor and is the group’s first opening dine Manhatta.
In the Meatpacking District, Brass Monkey has reopened after several prior attempts. It looks the this time it might stick.
Nearby, Santina has removed its chandeliers and just about everything else. Not sure if it’s a redo or if the coastal Italian restaurant is done.
