The Museum of Arts and Design has created a limited-edition gourmet chocolate bar inspired by the current exhibition, “The Fisher Dollhouse: A Venetian Palazzo in Miniature.” The bar reproduces the facade of the dollhouse in a delicious shimmering milk chocolate, using 49% Madagascar Cacao with all-natural ingredients. It is available through the end of September and retails for $17.95.
In addition, master chocolate maker Paul Joachim, who helped create the chocolate confection, will come to MAD’s seventh-floor galleries with a live chocolate demonstration on Saturday, September 4 from noon until 2pm.
The Fisher Dollhouse, which was inspired by Venice’s famed Gritti Palace, is the brainchild of arts patron Joanna Fisher, who recruited dozens of international artists to bring it to life, including Holly Jo Beck, Mario Ramos, Mariana Grande, David Castillo, Fred Cobbs, Dustin Yellin, Ryan McGinness, Hunt Slonem and Veronica Gaido. The exhibition is on view until September 26.
