Neighborhood: West Village
Type of Place: Concert Halls/Venues

Description:
Sullivan Hall is New York City’s premier small concert venue, with unmatched quality of sound & lighting for any comparably-sized venue in New York City, and a calendar always full of top tier talent. The venue holds a maximum of 345 people in a standing room only configuration. It is in the space formerly known as the Lion’s Den, which we gutted and renovated in late 2007 and re-opened on January 1st, 2008. Big Sam’s Funky Nation from New Orleans, who performed on New Year’s Eve 2008 were technically the last act to perform at Lion’s Den and the first act to perform at Sullivan Hall. Later that night, San Francisco’s Tea Leaf Green played the opening night ceremonies.   - Jennifer Giuliano 02/10
