Description:

Located at 50 Gansevoort Street in New York City, The Griffin is a cocktail lounge inspired by the Gilded Age of the late 19th Century. The Griffin aims to recapture the splendors of a sophisticated night by providing guests with impeccable service that evokes a sense of being transported through time. The Griffin plays host to a worldly mix of celebrities, artists, designers, and well-heeled patrons looking for a dapper crowd, specialty cocktails, dancing, and a decadent escape to a bygone era. The Griffin’s opulent décor pays tribute to the Industrial Revolution and subsequent Gilded Age. The intimate space is filled with plush velvet banquets, gilded tables, antiqued mirrors and herringbone floors made of 100-year-old reclaimed wood. The centerpiece, a glittering mass of twenty-five crystal chandeliers, hangs overhead from vaulted ceilings and is directly across from a decidedly modern DJ Booth housing Funktion One equipment. The Griffin has a total capacity of 295 with seating available for 235 guests and can be used for photo shoots, filming and private events.
