Cititour Review:

Nothing about goa taco is what I would call ordinary.  The restaurant looks more like a sushi bar with its long narrow wooden counter and stools cut low to the ground.  There is window seating available for three made from old wooden pallets.  If you are claustrophobic you may want to grab a seat on one of the wooden benches outside, weather permitting.

The food at goa is also out of the ordinary (in a good way) which may explain the long line out the door.  Taco shells are larger than most and cooked up fresh off the grill.  The dough isn't your standard masa.  Instead, Indian flatbead, called paratha, is used.  It's flaky and dusted with toasted sesame seeds.  It may not be the most authentic taco shell I've tasted, but it is among the tastiest, especially when filled with roast duck seasoned with five spice and srirarcha.  Equally special is the pork belly with pickled red cabbage, deep fried pork rinds for added crunch and chipotle mayo.  Pure heaven.

Other combinations include chicken chorizo with goat cheese; lamb shoulder with eggplant salsa and tzatziki sauce; and a Vietnamese bánh mi made with tofu.  Best of all everything on the menu is under ten bucks.

There is just one dessert, a house churro which can be a bit of a hot delicious mess.  It's fried up fresh with hazelnut spread oozing from its center.  Yum.
