Cititour Review:

Wasabi serves an enjoyable Japanese meal at a decent price.  The service is prompt and friendly, but for some reason or another, the place was pretty empty when I last dined there.  The Udon or Soba are good, though nothing to write home about ($8.95), and I would say the same about the Steak Teriyaki ($11.95), which was the perfect serving size to leave me satiated yet not over-full.  They have a good selection of sushi, too.  I love their house salad just for the dressing, which is some kind of delicious blend of creamy mustard and sweet sesame sauce ($7).

The decorations are a little chintzy (fake plastic waterfall and Christmas lights in the back) and the music is also cheesy, but overall, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing.  They have outdoor seating with romantic Japanese lanterns, but beware of mosquitoes in the summertime!

I would give this place a seven out of ten rating.  They are conveniently located right at the end of Bedford Ave. in Greenpoint (at Manhattan Avenue), making it a good spot for a quick lunch or a casual meal after work.  Don’t leave without trying the green tea crème brulèe—definitely the most unique dessert on the menu!
