Cititour Review:

Tintol is the perfect place to catch a quick meal before or after a Broadway show. Unlike some of the larger restaurants in the area, like Bond 45 and Blue Fin, Tintol is small and quaint with its exposed brick and candle lit tables.

It delves deeply into the flavors of Portugal and succeeds at every step. An extensive wine list is broken down by regions of Spain and Portugal with moderate prices ranging from $18 to $87 per bottle.

The menu is also quite affordable with "small" dishes topping out at $12. We enjoyed the croquetas ($5) flavored with chorizo, and the Escabeche of Sardines ($6.50) served with marinated onions. But our favorite, and we have yet to even make a dent in the menu, is the Pork Tenderloin with Clams ($9.50). It comes on its own cutting board. A nice round of pork about two inches thick and juicy beyond belief is served with a piece of deep fried pork, known as chicharones, and two steamed clams. The combination is truly fabulous!

We were impressed with Tintol, from the food and wine, to the people who run it. It's a place worth running to!
