The Lobster Place at Chelsea Market has undergone a stunning renovation. The seafood mecca, known for its fresh fish and steamed lobsters, now has a raw bar, a sushi bar and the Shack in the Back. The Shack is run like a well-oiled machine pumping out Oyster Po' Boys ($10.95), Ipswitch Belly Rolls made with fried clam bellies ($12.95) and Lobster Rolls ($16.95) served on a grilled top-split bun. I tried the Crab Cake Sandwich (10.95). The crab cake is spot on, loaded with lump crab meat, and fried till golden brown. Its served with a saffron ailoi, Boston lettuce, and tomato on a toasted English muffin. What a treat! You will also find popcorn scallops and fish n' chips on the menu along with bisques and chowders.
