Cititour Review:

Sinbad in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn is a new spot for fish and steak with the emphasis on seafood. The restaurant has a maritime motif with lamps shaped like life preservers and netting dangling from the ceiling. There are several large mouth bass mounted to the walls. Below are ice-filled displays showing off the catch of the day.

The menu is mediterranean offering traditional dips like hummus and baba ganoush. Fried shrimp make for a nice starter.  They were well-seasoned, perfectly cooked and served with a zesty tomato sauce. A mixed entree of grilled shrimp, calamari and salmon, served with a towering bowl of brown rice, could easily feed two and rang in at under eighteen bucks. If you don't mind dealing with bones, the barbecued whole fish is the way to go.  We tried the bronzini which which revealed a layer of rich white meat beneath a blackened crust. It was one of the freshest fish I've had in quite some time, and at under $18, quite a catch.  Other whole fish being offered include striped bass, porgy and tilapia.  Entrees come with a fresh salad, tahini sauce and toasted pita.

From the fryer you will find things like whiting, sardines and red snapper. Linguini is served with your choice of seafood, including clams and mussels, in either a scampi, marinara or Alfredo sauce.  Tajine dishes, sandwiches and steak are also available.

We found the food at Sinbad to be fresh, the service friendly, and the atmosphere relaxed. If they can maintain the quality of the fish, this one is a keeper!
