Stepping into Ruby et Violette is like stepping into a Victorian parlor. It's not your ordinary spot. It is a spot to endulge. From decadent chocolate drinks, including a rich hot chocolate ($5.50/lg) perfect for those cold winter nights, to an assortment of chewy cookies with names like "Darn Good", and others infused with liquors including the "Black Russian" and "Rum Raisin". You'll also find traditional chocolate chip cookies (like the ones we tried) called "Perfect" and kids' favorites with names like "Sour Cherry" and "Red Hot Cinnamon." All are rich and a bit pricey at $2.50 a pop. But isn't that what indulging is all about. And you can always stop at one. The shop also offers a full line of brownies from a "Classic" and "Blondie" to a "Lemon White." So splurge a little!
