Red Hook Lobster Pound can now be found on Extra Place, the back alley that led to the old rocker haven, CBGB, in the East Village. The restaurant known for its fresh Maine lobster rolls is also serving mac-n-cheese, with or with out lobster, along with grilled cheese sandwiches, a brisket sandwich for "landlubbers" and homemade New England clam chowder and lobster bisque. There are also seasonal cocktails, wine and beer on tap. We had to test out the Lobster BLT which is stupendous. It's loaded with smokey bacon and lobster meat for ten bucks ($18 for a quarter pound of lobster). But the $10 version should suit most people just fine. Add in a Narragansett Ale for five dollars and you're set. For dessert, there's Steve's Authentic Key Lime Pie from Red Hook. Outside seating is also available when the weather permits. There's also CBGB books on display, and a lobster clawing the wall across the alley. - Thomas Rafael
