Cititour Review:

Petite Abeille is the type of restaurant any neighborhood would relish. The instant you walk in you feel as though you've been transported to a European cafe. Oversized cartoons line the walls with French captions. Tablecloths come in the blue checkerboard variety, and the staff is very friendly. You'll want to arrive early for breakfast. Fluffy Belgian waffles are cooked up fresh. There's also over-sized French toast, brioche and a nice selection of omelettes; ranging from smoked salmon, scallions and sour cream to a bacon, spinach and cheddar served on ciabatta ($4.50-$11). I opted for lunch and a Belgian beer. It's not often that a sandwich can jazz me, but this one certainly did. It was a simple croque monsieur ($9.50), aka ham and swiss. The bread grilled until it had a perfect crunch. The cheesy center dripping over slices of ham. I savored every bite, and then it was gone. You can also opt for the "croque madame." It's basically the same sandwich served with a sunnyside up egg on top. I also enjoyed my bowl of broccoli soup. It arrived in what looked like a giant tea cup with four crunchy croutons on top. It was creamy and simply delish (Soup and 1/2 sandwich $6.75). Petite Abeille also serves up a nice selection of salads and quiches. Dinner is served from 5pm to 10pm. Wednesdays are Moules A Go-Go, all you can eat mussels in a garlicky white wine broth, along with one Stella ($19.95). Now, I would certainly enjoy that in my neighborhood!
