Lupulo is inspired by the famed cervejarias, or breweries, of Lisbon. It is also where you will find the foods of Portugal as envisioned by Michelin-starred chef George Mendez, owner of Aldea. The menu features small plates ranging from crispy shrimp turnovers to salt cod croquettes and grilled asparagus with dried sea urchin. Seafood also gets a nod, with grilled whole Portuguese sardines served with a blistered pepper salad and shrimp porridge with soft hen egg and chili pepper. Organic young chickens are cooked over an open flame while Bife Assado features a wood-grilled 60-day aged ribeye. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are only available for parties of six or more. - Thomas Rafael
