Cititour Review:

You no longer have to hunt for the Korilla truck for a taste of their Korean barbecue.   Korilla has landed in the East Village near St Marks place and the food is mighty tasty.   We started with some Korilla Balls (three for $5).  Think rice ball with a Korean twist.  These balls are loaded up with Applewood smoked-bacon, kimchi fried rice and Monterey Jack cheese.  You can get  them with the topping of your choice, ranging from KBBQ which is mild to Korilla's "K'lla" hot sauce.  They are very tasty.

I went for the tacos while my dining partner had a burrito.   Each dish comes with your choice of protein; marinated ribeye, pulled pork, chicken or tofu.  For the tacos, I went with the ribeye topped with chihuahua cheese, pickled daikon, pickled cucumber and carrot with some "K'lla" sauce.  The combination of hot, sweet and sour makes for a nice alternative to a traditional Mexican taco.  The burrito packed with pulled pork, bacon fried rice (purple and sticky rice also available) and kimchi was huge.  It also packs a nice kick from the kimchi.   Rice bowls and salads are also available.

Korilla is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a quick meal in this part of town.  The staff is also quite nice and willing to explain stuff which is an added bonus.
