Entering Juban you know you are in for a funky treat. Brightly colored paper lanterns dangle above the sake bar. In the back, there's a huge mural on the wall with u-shaped wooden booths and tables. The menu is just as interesting.   Japanese street foods and sushi are sold.  Among them, crispy spring rolls stuffed with creamy snow crab.  Grilled chicken, short ribs and Japanese sausage arrive on skewers. Saikoro, bite-size chunks of tender steak, is served in a sizzling cast iron pan. Crispy tempura shrimp appear to be dance on the plate, while housemade tofu is served two ways; the skins are fried with bok choy, while a second dish offers silky tofu set in a savory broth. An assortment of sushi, sashimi and rolls are also available. Juban also has an extensive sake menu with prices ranging from around $30 for a carafe up to $300 for a bottle. The house sake is quite good.  It's light and fragrant, and packs a nice punch. You will also find several Japanese beers are whisky on the menu. Service is friendly and knowledgable.
