When in Grand Central in search of a good burger I usually find myself at Shake Shack. But the line can be daunting, especially during peak hours. But, when I'm looking for something good and quick I go to the "Hot Dog Corner" at Zaro's Bakery. At the back of the food cart it's easy to miss, but don't. Their 100 percent beef Hebrew Nationals are plump and juicy, served right off the grill on a nice soft bun. For a few cents more you can top it with a healthy helping of sauerkraut. Priced at $3.75 each, it costs a bit more than a hot dog you will find on the street. But the quality trumps price and by Grand Central standards, the price really isn't too grand at all. It's also a great spot when you need to catch a bite between trains.
