Gray's Papaya can now be found in Times Square. The hot dog stand, known for its crisp links, has set up shop on 8th Avenue near 40th Street with a bright orange sign. Inside there's a great "hot dog" sign with flickering lights and paper fruits hanging from the ceiling. The hot dogs cost $2.75 each and come with onions or sauerkraut for free. Other toppings like chili, cheese and relish are 50 cents apiece. The $5.95 "Recession Special" includes two hot dogs and one medium papaya drink, which the restaurant says is nourishing and will aid your digestion. Not bad for this part of town.
