Cititour Review:

“Ethos” in Greek means character or reputation and this restaurant of the same name has both a good reputation and a lot of character. The dining area is small and the tables are situated close together, but no one seems to mind. The place was packed and we snagged the last table. Outdoor seating is available for the warm weather. The restaurant is casual with exposed brick walls and colorful hanging light fixtures. The staff was attentive and friendly as they discussed the wine list and appetizer choices with us. We started with an order of humus and the Ethos Saganaki for the table. The hummus was tasty, but had a hint too much of the tahini for my liking. The Saganaki was a melted feta cheese with tomato, fresh herbs and olive oil in a hot pepper sauce. The hot pepper sauce added a nice dimension to the dip without really making it spicy. The bread was warm and plentiful with pita and crusty olive loaf. The Dolmadakia were full of flavor stuffed with rice and herbs. Ethos specializes in marinated seafood dishes and charcoal grilled fresh fish. We ordered the sautéed shrimp in a feta and light tomato sauce which was very good. The charcoal grilled baby octopus is a must. The octopus was generously seasoned and drizzled with olive oil and lemon. Ethos is not a fine dining experience, but offers Greek cuisine for reasonable prices. The restaurant has an old world charm and offers cozy dining. Sadly, Ethos had no dancing or plate smashing to add to the atmosphere. However, you can grab an Ouzo mint or two on your way out. Opa!
