Cititour Review:

Eataly's been such a success in Flatiron that it appears there's room for two.  The sprawling Italian market now has a second location in the Financial District.  It occupies the third floor of the new Westfield mall.  You can enter via subway through the iconic Path Station at Ground Zero or use the main entrance on Liberty Street.

The first thing you notice as you arrive is a huge table filled with crusty Italian bread; a prelude of what lies ahead.  There are two wine bars in the u-shaped space, each packed with people happily sipping reds and whites.  Like Flatiron, there are also small tables for sharing cheeses and cured meats.

Two golden pizza ovens are busy pumping out wood-fired pizzas every few seconds. My personal favorite is the focaccia station serving up an assortment of goodies, like one topped with zucchini, basil and fresh ricotta, and another made with thinly sliced red peppers and sausage.  This is also a good spot for tourists to enjoy a cheap meal and maybe some vino.  Looking to spend a bit more visit one of several other food stations serving fresh fish, pasta, veggies and much more.

Eataly is also a great spot to stock up on hard to find Italian specialties like dried and fresh pastas, sauces, homemade breads, seafood and beautiful, yet pricey, meats.  The space also has its own produce market offering fruits, vegetables and cu flowers.

Desserts and small cakes always always look amazing here.  Or, grab a cup of gelato to go.  Any way you slice it, Eataly is a treasure worth savoring.
