Cititour Review:

Connecticut Muffin, located in Brooklyn at 206 Prospect Park West, is a cozy café with fresh and healthy food options and a comfortable atmosphere for both locals and visitors hanging out in West Brooklyn for the day. It was lunchtime on the afternoon that I stopped by, so I ordered a veggie sandwich on whole seven grain bread with organic tea to drink. Although there weren’t many veggies in my veggie sandwich, the crisp lettuce, tomatoes and red onions paired perfectly with the cheese, seven grain bread and mustard spread. Although I can’t recall the type of cheese that was used on the sandwich, I do remember that there was a healthy serving of thick slices that were pretty appetizing.  For a beverage I decided to go with the Earl Grey Loose Leaf black tea that I sweetened with honey. Other drink options include coffee, espressos and chai lattes, among others.

While waiting for my sandwich to be made I was happy to see that the Connecticut Muffin had two windowsills that were filled with pamphlets and flyers of Brooklyn happenings, many of which seemed pretty interesting. The fresh food and cool neighborhood make a visit to the Connecticut Muffin worth the trip. The customer service was not over the top great, but was not bad either. I look forward to visiting the small café in the future to try a dessert, Panini or a fresh bagel.
