Bella Luna, a neighborhood fixture on the Upper West Side, has a new home. The location on Columbus Avenue near 87th Street, is in a building built in 1893 and was once home to a speakeasy. It also holds another secret, a mural of Central Park discovered hidden behind a wall, believed to be from the 1930's, which has been painstakingly restored. The kitchen is helmed by Executive Chef German "Primo" Angelo whose dishes include specialties like Tri-Color Tortellini with prosciutto and garden peas served in an Alfredo sauce, and slow-cooked Braised Lamb Shank with mashed potatoes. Bella Luna has also added a traditional brick oven and is now serving an assortment of pizzas.
