The outdoor cafe-style seating is the bait that often hooks people into Bait & Hook. The restaurant sits on a corner at 14th and 2nd Avenue allowing for friendly conversation, cocktails and people watching. Dollar oysters and beer are another lure. Inside, the restaurant maintains a nautical theme with fish nets and lobster traps dangling from the ceiling. A bar lines one side of the space with table seating on the other.
The menu is also big on seafood with dishes like Mucho Mussels, Kung Pao Calamari, fish tacos and Maryland-style crab cakes. There are jumbo coconut prawns, fish & chips, and an Old School Lobster Roll with garlic aioli on a New England style hot dog bun. Non-fish items include a Wagyu burger and chicken strips. "Top Chef" alum Dave Martin is a consultant on the menu. The atmosphere is relaxed.
