Samesa is now open in the Rockefeller Center Concourse. Brothers Eli and Max Sussman run the place which is inspired by the foods they grew up on in Detroit and New York City's Halal trucks. The original outpost on Lorimer Street in Brooklyn closed only to be reborn in Midtown.

Samesa is known for its wraps served on an oversized pitas. The Chicken Schwarma wrap is humongous, filled with chicken that’s been marinated in yogurt and spices along with cucumber, pickles, tomato, pickled cabbage, tahini and green zhug, a Yemeni hot sauce. It’s a great deal at $13 for this neck of the woods.

Other options include Pickled Eggs & Roasted Eggplant, and Chickpea Seitan with Moroccan spices and avocado humus. All three are also available as bowls. Salads, like Kale Fattoush with crispy pita chips, are also available. For dessert, treat yourself to one of their tahini brownies. The restaurant is open Monday-Friday from 11am-4pm.

Samesa is located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, Concourse Level, New York, NY Website
