The New York coffee scene just got a java jolt. Japanese specialty coffee brand % Arabica (pronounced simply “Arabica”) opened its first ever U.S. location in DUMBO to long lines. The shop is providing some of the finest global Arabica coffee around, roasted and served in a stylish setting.

Founded in Kyoto – where its storefronts in Arashiyama and Higashiyama are famous for its long lines – % Arabica now boasts over 85 international locations. The DUMBO Roastery embodies the brand’s “New Wave” coffee ethos, designed to bring the the artisanal coffee experience to the masses.

Like all of its global locations, % Arabica uses the award-winning Slayer Espresso machines (considered one of the best in the world), and also has its own in-store Probat roaster, manned by an in-house Master Roaster, to supply freshly roasted beans to customers. All of coffee is sourced from small farms, serving single-origin coffees and lighter roasts.

In fact, the smell of that fresh roasted coffee hits you the moment you walk through the door. Hot and cold coffee drinks are available, like the Spanish Latte seen here made with a sweet creamy topping. It already appears to have a cult following. % Arabica is located at 20 Old Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY
